Camping at COTA is one of the best ways to experience NASCAR in Austin. Whether you’re looking for a full-service RV site with power and water hookups or a more relaxed dry-camping experience, the track offers several options suited to every kind of race fan. Campgrounds open on Thursday morning before race weekend and close on Monday at noon, giving fans plenty of time to settle in, explore, and enjoy all the on-site activities.

Each camping area provides easy access to the track, restrooms, and shuttles or trams that run throughout the weekend. Quiet hours are typically from 1:00 AM to 7:00 AM., ensuring a balance between fun and rest.

Premium Camping – Backstretch Camping

Located in a gated area beside the Turn 12 Grandstand, Backstretch Camping offers the most comfortable and exclusive RV experience at COTA. These paved sites feature full hookups and all the amenities you’d expect from a premium stay. Each site includes eight weekend wristbands and one tow vehicle pass, along with concierge assistance and 24-hour security.

Lot N (Power)

Additional services–such as showers ($10/use or $30 unlimited), water fill ($55), and sewage pump-out ($65)–are available for purchase.

It’s a good choice for those who want a party vibe while staying close to major fan zones.
