From exploring the Fan Zone and catching live performances to finding the perfect viewing spot and avoiding long lines, preparation helps you enjoy every moment. Whether you’re here to meet your favourite drivers, soak in the atmosphere, or watch the high-speed action on track, these tips will make your experience smooth and memorable.

Meeting the drivers

If autographs or selfies are on your list, timing matters. Arrive early – many drivers take part in practice sessions, media duties, or fan appearances before the main event. The Fan Zone is the best place to catch autograph sessions, sponsor meet-and-greets, and special Q&As.

Keep an eye on the official NASCAR and Circuit of the Americas schedules in the days before the race. Autograph sessions, pit tours, and driver introductions are often announced close to the weekend. Follow the circuit’s website and social media channels for any last-minute updates. Some teams and sponsors even host exclusive signing sessions at their booths during FanFest events.

When meeting drivers, bringing something simple to sign – a cap, programme, die-cast model, or photo is ideal. Be polite and patient; while drivers have tight schedules, many will stop for a quick signature or photo when passing through the Fan Zone or heading to the grid.

Comfort & crowd tips

With tens of thousands of fans attending, a little foresight goes a long way. Plan your food and bathroom breaks during quieter periods rather than just before restarts or during cautions, when queues are longest. Circuit of the Americas is a large venue, so be ready for plenty of walking.

Seat choice makes a big difference: lower rows bring you closer to the sound and intensity, while higher ones give you sweeping views of the unique COTA layout. Try to limit how often you move during the race to avoid missing crucial moments of action.

The COTA weekend is filled with unforgettable photo opportunities – from the Observation Tower with sweeping views of the circuit to Victory Lane, where the celebrations unfold. Fans can meet their favorite drivers during autograph sessions or capture memories in front of the giant NASCAR at COTA sign – a must-have shot for any race-day album.
